Best CAD Magazine?

I am trying to get an idea of what people view as the best CAD magazine on the market.

What is the most respected?
Which has the biggest subscription base?
Are they country dependent or international?
Are these magazines closely tied with software companies, like AutoDesk and therefore are they biased?
Do many/any feature ArchiCAD?

I look forward to any insights.

Hunter.

There are specialized CAd-magazines?!?

There are a few out there, but I've never been impressed by any of them.

I would recommend a decent website or blog instead.

I don't know how good it is ... but I think subscriptions to Cadalyst Magazine are free.

It's still free, and all its content is available on their website.

You're reading perhaps, the best one right here at ArchiCAD Talk.

My 2 cents,

Mark

I have since found this list: http://www.caddprimer.com/cad_software_vendors/cadd_magazines_journals_newletters.htm

It lists CAD magazines, such as:

CADALYST
CAD DIGEST
AEC Bytes
CAD User
Multi-CAD
upFront.ezine
AEC Newsroom
CAD-CAM Net
AutoCAD Magazine
DE Online

I know AC-Talk is a great resource, but I am trying to find out what the word on the street is about the best CAD Magazine and if ArchiCAD readers actually read them.

Any reason why you may like them, or may not like them? Any insights on what people are reading and why?

Thanks for any input.

Hunter.
AEC Bytes is a fantastic resource for all-things-BIM. Product reviews, tips & tricks, viewpoints, etc. I subscribe to this and Cadalyst, and read all ArchiCAD-related articles. Another great resource is www.eatyourcad.com/ -- its focus is Microstation users, but I find the CAD management and BIM articles very insightful.

I don't read paper magazines anymore: they are expensive, content is too late and most of them are only talking about AutoCAD.

That said, for 3D I do have a subscription on 3D World magazine: it's expensive, content is sometimes too late, but the content it in full colour, I can read wherever I want and it has numerous free goodies on the CD.
