I have no problem using Cyrillic in archicad - layers, floor names and zone stamps - all looks good, but when generate zone lists, the names of the zones and the floor names are some strange symbols : ajfwhejfeijfe.... Please help!

Did you contact Tech Support?

Techsupport is bullshit. I wrote them, they told me to contact my local support in Russia. I'm from Bulgaria, even UK is closer to me. And I can't speak Russian at all. So you point me to techsupport, they point me to Russia... Where is the next destination? I feel lost like Jason Born, travelling around the globe, looking for myself.

Confused... the tech support you should contact is in Bulgaria itself:

If that doesn't help, hopefully someone will notice your question here - there are lots of Cyrillic users, including many from Bulgaria...

I think this issue is beyond the capabilities of the Tech Support in Bulgaria, although Mr. Dimitrov, who is the local AC reseller, is a very nice person.
I have raised the problem with inconsistent Cyrillic implementation with every new release, and without any result.

Hi Kliment,

I was hoping you'd respond. 😉

It is a shame for Haiku that this may have no resolution... and that you've reported it so often with no improvement. The Graphisoft support workflow is that the local support (Mr Dimitrov) has a direct line to the Budapest support team for questions that cannot be addressed locally. So, its always good to report locally.

If this problem really has no workaround, I would imagine (hope?) that Mr Dimitrov would have some leverage with the product management / sales departments if this affects his ability to sell the product (!?).

Cheers,
Karl

Kliment, I don't know if you ever found a solution for this. I had the same problem with Greek showing up as swear-words in schedules and changing the XReadCfg.text never worked for me.

See http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?p=241018#241018 for a solution with the registry. Change the font code to 204 for Cyrillic, I think.
