Entering/editing text in Window or Door Schedule

I've been using this feature for years and can't get it to work now...

My Scheme always includes at least one Custom Text field where I can enter notes about a particular window or door. See the attached.

Now when I open the Window or Door Schedule (in this case a Window Legend) I can't add text to a window, can't edit or delete the text in the existing ones added from before. I edit/paste and when I hit enter or tab as usual, nothing changes. I'm not the only one having this issue in my office.

I tried adding a new Custom Text field, but still acts the same. It's happening on both Door and Window Schedules.

Are the layers for the walls that host the windows and doors both visible and unlocked?

Yes. The View for the schedule has all layers turned on and all renovation status visible.
