Has everyone see the Orthgraph Architect for iPad Videos?

I've got two videos up on my blog along with the official press release. Makes me very jealous of anyone who has access to the app, the desktop application, and an ipad. (of which I have none...) Enjoy:

The App is called iCad and it is written by RedStick. Don't go through the App Store on a Mac as it will not show up use Itunes and lool for it that way. There are also some You Tube videos on the web that shows how easy it is to work with.

See this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUbcYI48sco

I bought it, did a test plan and exported it and it works very well.

There is now a dedicated ArchiCAD import tool of OrthoGraph Architect for iPad that costs only 99€ for the average needs of an architect. I think it is worth a try.

On the other hand OrthoGraph's dedicated ArchiCAD Add-On has many benefits like creating walls, objects with properties, wall openings directly from the survey file.

The interesting thing about the Redstick SiteCad (confusingly called iCad by Spatial in the Apple appstore, US $55) is the nice integration with the Leica DISTO Laser Distancemeter. I just got back yesterday from a 5 city tour of the US using my trusty D5 model for obtaining site measurements.

I'm sure many people on this forum have made the investment in these tools but if you are still using a Stanley tape measure, it is time to upgrade. A laser Distancemeter is the only way to go. it is much, much faster and probably more accurate too: Leica claims accuracies of 1mm over 300m which is rather astounding.

I have used Distos of various types all over the world but have yet to find a good way to integrate one with a tablet software package. iCad (or SiteCad?) may just be the ticket.

Now I wish I sprung for the Disto D8 with Bluetooth. I would be very curious if anyone had tried tablet software with a Disto and what your thoughts are. Are the imported AC models truly usable? Is is faster than recording on paper and inputting manually?

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone has tried version #3 of Orthograph.

I had a close look at both Orthograph and RedStick Site Cad, and the former seems to me to be at least one generation ahead of the ladder. Anyway, I'm basing my opinion only on preview videos.

I'd like to have some feedback from someone who actually used Orthograph, if possible. I know there are some bad reviews about it on the App store, but they all refer to version #2.

Thanks!
