Help! Problems merging / opening DWG's

I recently ran the latest OSX software update to 10.4.4 and am unable to merge or open DWG files. I also recently updated Archicad to build 2172 so this could be the culprit as well. When I try to merge or open the file nothing happens. I am never presented with the dialog box to adjust or chose my translator. Are there any others who had any similar problems? Are any of you running the same combo 10.4.4 and build 2172 - are you able to import DWG's. Thanks for any feedback.

haven't had any problems here - despite my .sig, I'm on 2172 running 10.4.4.

Occasionally, I have been able to open these types of files by dragging them to the ArchiCAD icon in the dock, when Open or Merge would not work.
