Hi question about 3d dwg/dgn files

this question has probably been answered before im sorri for this
is it possible to model in microstation or autocad dgn or dwg and import the 3d object into archicad?
if anyyone knows how to do this please help.

Go to File -> GDL Object -> Open Object -> pick DWG format.

Sometimes, for some reason it does not preserve 3D data so it is much better to use 3ds import.

thank you for your replies following the guide in the link however i do not have the open library part option in under file. i have attatched a print shot of what i do have.( i tried but it doesnt atatch which file format is best i saved it as bmp)
i have also tried the shift ctrl option O although i dont know what key option is im guessing its alt or tab, on windows neither work.

It's probably just an earlier version of Archicad. (...ArchiGuide_Online_6o...= AC6 I'm guessing), but you're heading in the right direction in your screenshot.
