Hello,
I would like to ask how we can import and use files with the .bol extension in Archicad. Could you please explain whether this file type is supported and, if so, what steps are required to open or convert it for use within the software?
Thank you in advance for your help.

I've never heard about .bol.
Quick Google search does not reveal much. Can you please elaborate on this?
I'm pretty sure Archicad does not support this file type.

Hi @RuthGS ,
The .bol format is at first glance a proprietary format of ACCA software Edificius. Maybe that file has been downloaded from a BIM objects catalogue as: https://catalogue.accasoftware.com/en/search/
Anyway, you can convert it from Edificius to any of the file formats available for Archicad. (+info)
I am fairly certain that Edificius can export files in IFC format that Archicad could import. It is simply a matter of validating what information beyond the geometric data needs to be transferred between applications.

Hi everyone, thanks for your replies!
I can confirm that .bol files are objects downloadable from usBIM.library by ACCA software. They are a proprietary format linked to their BIM ecosystem and not directly compatible with Archicad.
Therefore, the only solution is to convert the file into a format supported by Archicad, making sure that all the necessary information is properly maintained during the conversion process.
