I.F.C. Window import - how do I fix the 2d linework?

IFC is giving me a headache.
Window object from an IFC file came in with too many lines in plan.
How can I modify the 3d window using the "Open Object" command where I can see the 'guts' of the object so I can get the plan view to look simple?

What is in the 2D Symbol of this Window?
Can you delete the unnecessary lines in the 2D Symbol?

hummm..not really.
That's the problem...the 2d symbol is tough to get hold of with regards to being able to delete the linework and replace with my own linework so I can represent it properly.

Perhaps I can send you a portion of the file Laszlo and you could take a look at it?

would that be possible?

If you can help me figure out how to alter one of these objects I can do the others....
