Importing .dwg causes AC10 to crash

Drawings sent from client in .dwg format causes AC10 to crash. The AC10 version we have is up to date. Client resent .dxf and .dwg version 14 and AC10 continues to crash. Haven't had the problem before. What can be done to open the files?
