Inclined or curved parapet on a oval path

Anonymous
Not applicable
Im trying to make a vertical curved or inclined parapet on an oval shaped roof. Im using archiforma 2.05 on archicad 9. The resulting archiforma object is offseted more than 40 feet from the edge of the roof.
This object cannot be scaled so its useless.
I also have profilers tools but I cant get it to work on curved paths.
Please help.

Have you tried using a segmented profile?
With 9 Profiler
With 10 one could make a complex profile as a beam and either draw it or Magic Wand it. A Segmented Profile will result.

Thank you for your quick answer. I tried using the profile tool on archicad but every time I used it, it gave me errors and didnt do anything.
Propably the problem is in the path. Is very hard to any of these profile tools to do a curved path. I did manage to figure out the cadimage tools to do a curved path. The result is the closest thing of what I want to achieve. But it draws straight control lines(?)that are visible even on the 3d. Notice the diamond shape control lines on the image attached.

Could you explain in what way Profiler is not working.
Also, what Profiler are you using Archicad or some other Profiler ?

Probably was D. Pacifico was trying to tell me is to use a segmented path aproximating the curved path of the oval. I did it and used the profiler tool in archicad and got the best results.
Cigraph and cad image, thanks for nothing!

Problems again. Objects resulting from profiler (or cad image tools, or archiforma) dont SEO. Im trying to get a double curving parapet like the image attached. But unfortunately this parapet will not seo. Any ideas?

I made a shape very similar to yours with AC Profiler
and made a vaulted roof with same shape as yours.
With two tries I got the roofs to SEO with the Profiler shape.
Have you drawn a section line through the Profiler object
to confirm that it is solid. I know that a surface only element
can not participate in an SEO as an operator but I have not
checked whether a surface only element can be a target.
Instead of a roof, you could try another Profiler object as
the operator.

I just checked and a surface only object can be a target in
a SEO so your railing not being solid can't be the problem.
The only thing I can suggest is using a Profiler or TrussMaker
object as the operator.

If the objects are surfaces, meaning they have no thickness, they cannot SEO. The origin does not matter.
