how do I do this?
I'm trying to get my "Sheet List" to display consultant headings...such as "ARCHITECTURAL", "STRUCTURAL" ETC...

I usually create an Index per consultant so that means that I have Layout Masters for each one. If you want only one index then use the Layout Master as one of the columns and select the option to merge same items to get the title.

what does that entail? creating an "index per consultant"?
and how does it look once you place it on the layouts?

SO.....here's the look I'm trying to achieve.
I simply did this by copying, moving down and splitting up the index into three views.....top = title and description only, discipline headings (done with text only) and the body of the index (coming from the index itself) but how do I format the entire index to produce "THIS" result?

I don't have the headers on mine but this one is not that difficult to achieve.

Made a mistake, what I use to separate the Indexes is not Master Layouts but Subsets.

So.....are the "subsets" shown automatically in the index? if so..how?
I have my subsets in my index criteria....but they don't display.

Did you add them to the Index Fields?

I did.....and this is what I get?
dunno what I'm doing wrong.
can't seem to figure just "HOW" to make the subset titles appear only ONCE as per my graphics...
