New Autocad Upgrade pricing

I just received this email detailing the new upgrade pricing for Autodesk.
Please remember that Autodesk will introduce a Simplified Upgrade Pricing Model on March 16th, 2010. Under this new Pricing Model, an Upgrade from any of the three previous software releases will be priced at 50% of the SRP price of a full license, independently of the version being upgraded.

How does this change affect you? * If your software is ON subscription: No worries, you get upgrades with no change in annual subscription renewal cost. * If your software is NOT on subscription: You could upgrade before March 16th at lower prices.

* If your software Subscription is expired: ask us for your specific case, we can do a Customized Upgrade Analysis, you might still have time to renew it and Save! (Version 2007 retires from the market on March 16th, 2010. Upgrades or Autodesk technical support will no longer be available…
Perfect timing to force everyone either to subscribe or to bail out.
