Parameters in the Calculate Menus

Can anyone tell me if there is a physical limit to the number of parameters that can be used in a calulate scheme?

I am currently trying to develop an integrated Room data sheet which extracts information from a specialist Zone stamp we use. Currently I have 60 of the required 100 parameters showing up when I use "add additional parameters" but I can't see the rest.

Also, I have some of these parameters that are ticked and shown as added but don't have there descriptions turning up in the setup wizard. Is there a limit to the number of characters that the Scheme Setup menu will accept as a valid parameter?

One other item is the lack of connectivity to the project Info items. I want to list the project number, client name, company name, address, project phase in the headers and footers of a graphical schedule but none of these are available in the Setup Menu. Am I looking in the wrong place?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello Neil,

It might be useful to export your calculate scheme as a XML and
modify the parameters and the headers there by hand. Might be
the fastest way as well if having a large scheme.

I'm afraid the project infos can't be selected in the menus...but
using tagged autotexts work when the schedule is placed on the
layout. For example using <PROJECTNAME>
in the header should work.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Juha,
Unforunately any part XML might play can't help me if the parameters are not even listed. I can get the stuff together but each parameter value needs to be assigned a number in the listed stake or I can't get it inserted into schedule at all. At present I can't get all the parameters listed.

I am trying to attempt an integrated aproach first before having to resort to a second piece of software. The approach may well be too restrictive but no one has indicated that there is any ceiling to what I am attempting. Neither have I found any reason why it won't work.

Hopefully more info will come to light over the next week.

Cheers.

Hello,

Are ou sure that some of the desired parameters are not hidden and
have an unique description?

We have had situations where hidden parameters needed to be listed and
didn't want to alter the original library part. Two different approaches could solve
the problem;

1] A dummy object, which had just all the needed parameters not hidden. Choosing listed parameters from that object worked nicely. Just be sure to have the parameter descriptions filled and being unique.

2] The mentioned XML, where the parameter names could be written by hand and then imported back to the schelude settings.

One other approach I used was to open the library part, unhide the desired parameter, save the library part, add the parameter to the Interactive Schedule, then hide the parameter, save and close the library part.
