Saving in obj. format with triangulated faces - how, please?

I am banging my head against a wall trying to export building elements (walls, library parts, etc.) as obj. files with triangulated geometry for use in the IvyGenerator - which specifically only works with obj. files and then only if triangulated.

Every way I've tried exporting ends up with quadrangle rather than triangle geometry..........aaaah.

Please advise - even if its only to tell me it can't be done......thanks.

Hi,

You can try exporting it as .dwg or .3ds than in another 3D application to convert it into .obj format

Hi Ede,

Thank you for your help: I have actually been trying this, but the apps I have are either causing me too many scaling issues, or retain the 'quad' geometry.....no doubt I need to experiment further, but have run out of time for now........

Cheers,

Patrice
