Schedules to display sqm and sqft

I would like to have two Schedules on the same layout one displaying zone areas in square feet and the other in square meters.

I have set up two views one using dimension settings for sqft and the other uses sqm but they display and print with the current Dimension settings. Is there away round this or is it impossible?

ta muchly in advance

You can use two different dimension standards for schedules. To confirm or change them highlight your view in the Navigator/Organizer and hit the Settings button.

Cheers,

Yup that's how I set them up but if I have them on the same layout then it will display the settings that are current in ArchiCAD. I'm going to try turning off Auto Updating and only update the viewport that is different to the current settings.

That sorted it out but it was a bit of a rigmarole

Switched both Viewports to "Manual" update

Changed the ArchiCAD preferences to display sqm

Updated the "Sqm" viewport to now display sqm

You can probably mod a zone stamp to give both areas, and even call them in the same schedule, being two distinct parameters and all.... I'd like to try this one out myself. I have roomsize objects that give w x d, one in feet, one in metres, but have never used them both at the same time...they probably work, so zone stamps should too if set up this way...

I can not seem to get my components lists to match units.
I made a schedule ( Components by layers) for studs. It worked just fine and is interactive. Units are in feet and inches.

I duplicated the schedule, then changed the layer, and one Schedule field. This new (duplicated) schedule is not interactive, and the units are in decimal feet. I can not find a way to change it into feet and inches again.

The problem I think is in the Schedule field settings. ?

The schedule field is from the Available Parameters list for walls. ( I modeled the studs and plates as walls) "Length of wall measured to the Reference Line side"( I need this setting instead of "height" for my plates which are just short walls) If I choose this, my units change and the schedule is no longer interactive either.

I suppose the problem is with modeling the plates as short walls.
Apparently you can't adjust the length of a wall like this in an interactive schedule. If I select a parameter or "height" as on the studs, it does work.
And is in feet and inches in the same schedule.

How can the units be changed? The usual way of doing it in viewsettings for the schedule does not work for this. I would settle for not having an interactive schedule if I could just get the untits to be in feet and inches.

Notice in this picture that units are not even the same, in the same schedule.

Steve, I've seen buggy numeric display, like triple zero entries in cost fields, that seem to go away after a few random rebuilds. It seems tricky getting the view settings to 'stick'. With the schedule open, and after modifying the current dimension styles and/or units preferences, have you open the settings of the 'view' of the schedule (not it's project map item) and hit the 'get current window's settings' button?

After a rebuild or close/open the view - then what do you get?

Yes, I have tried that. Still looks like this.
