Setting Objects names for exporting to other programs

Hello all,

I've encountered some problem regarding Naming Different objects as seperate elements.
For example, after I've created a stair, it is considered as an object, and then when I export it to other program, such as 3ds max, it gains the name "object" and not "stair".

note: i've tried to export the model as OBJ

my question is - how can I rename the objects as independent elements already in archicad?
