Hi!

I’ve just read the announcement about Maxonform. This might be a stupid question but... will GS stop the devlopment of the c4d plug-in too, or it’s just for maxonform ?

Thanks!

What announcement? (URL?) Your post suggests that there was an announcement about terminating MaxonForm development. Can't find this on the GS web site.

Ouch. Thanks for posting the link - certainly MaxonForm support page is where it belongs, but one would think it would have been in the list of press releases also, as this is somewhat of a major announcement!
http://www.graphisoft.com/support/maxonform/

As people have complained in other threads, MaxonForm has not kept up with C4D development - so in fact making the plug-in and add-on for full C4D free makes much more sense to me.

I will be interested to learn from others what kind of upgrade pricing they find from their local Maxon distributors.

Thanks,
Karl

Yes – and if Archicad users will get any special price for C4D even if they are NOT previous Maxonform users. Some kind of package deal would be logical, since both developers have the same owner since last year.

But we're still waiting for info about Nemetchek's future plans. If anybody knows more, please fill in!

It is? I didn't think that many people were using it.

I've owned it at two different firms, and it was total Shelfware.

The Maxon online 'store' does not list any upgrade options from MaxonForm, but I heard that the discount is 300 euro, making the upgrade still expensive, especially for those here who say they just bought MF.

It is pretty lame that big Nemetschek cannot coordinate the actions of its own companies: if GS is going to announce this upgrade policy, then Maxon should have a page on their site(s) concerning it and their store should list the upgrades. Very unprofessional all in all.

Indeed.

This is a little disconcerting given the news on the latest release of Revit... archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?p=113066=#113066
