Also, here's a tip. There is an add-on in the Goodies folder called "Intersections in Combos". If you run this add-on it will make all hidden layers have an intersection priority of two and all visible layers have 1. The cool thing is that this applies to all of your layer combinations at once and provides a good starting point for assigning other intersection priorities.
