Intersection priorities on slabs and cement fillings

Zendrix

Hi.

I have a slab that above it has 2 existing steps that im trying to model.

I would think the proper worfflow would be:

1. have base slab;

2. create 2 slabs above with just cement filling+ceramic finish and stack them on each other;

3. make sure the cement filling layer of the base slab is touching the cement filling of the secondary slab that sits on the original one, so they connect and i eliminate the ceramic layer in between.

But even though the intersection priority of the cement filling is higher than the ceramic tile, when i do the baove operation the ceramic in between does not get out of the way (signed in blue line).

What am i doing wrong/ how would you do that operation?

Thanks

Hi @Zendrix,

IIUC, you can split this space at the yellow line illustrated below & create two slabs, one at the lower level as it is & one at the higher level with editing the slab composite to expand the cement filling layer to the structural slab top surface.
