Problems using the Stair tool

Anonymous
Not applicable
I have been an Archicad user since 1995, but I have been inactive for the past six years. I recently opened up the program to work on some ideas I had for a house. Once I kicked off the rust I was able to create a plan but when I went to use the stair tool, I ran into a problem. At first, I was able to create a stair and place it on the drawing. However, when I select the stair again and try to modify it using the Stair tool, the info box just kind of blinks on screen and disappears. After that, I can't select any of the tools, not even the arrow. I have to restart the program just to keep working. But the same problem happens when I select the stair tool again.

I have not heard of such a problem.
I would doubt it is a problem with the stair tool as if it were there would be thousands of others here saying the same thing.

I would suspect a problem with you machine or the installation of the software.

Make sure you have the latest update for Archicad.
Are your machine drivers (video in particular) up to date?

What are you machine specs and operating system?
What version of Archicad are you running?
And I don't like to ask this but do you have a legal license for Archicad - not a cracked version?
