i am trying to create a projected perspective section in archicad 21. for that i use 3d cutaway. after doing that i create a new 3d document but the colors and detail displayed in 3d view doesnot show up in 3d document i create
3D documents have limited options for rendering, deliberately to keep them simple and clean to look at. If you look in the 3D documents settings you can vary the presentation a little, but also make sure that the surface colour setting in the basic engine is what you wish it to be as that's what sets the colour of the surface in the 3D document.
Yes, the 3D Documents use the Vectorial (Internal) render engine, the same as sections and elevations (if you turn the shading on).
Whereas the 3D view can use the Vectorial engine or the OpenGL engine which can show textures and looks much better.
