License Delivery maintenance is expected to occur on Saturday, November 30, between 8 AM and 11 AM CET. This may cause a short 3-hours outage in which license-related tasks: license key upload, download, update, SSA validation, access to the license pool and Graphisoft ID authentication may not function properly. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Auto Update Layout

Llian
Advocate
Not sure what happened but layout doesn't update automatically as it used to.
It's frustrating and waste of time to manually update the layout after change in view map….
Any idea how to switch back to auto update?

Check the settings of the drawings on the layout to see if they are set to auto or manual update.

Select the drawing (frame) on the layout.
You will see this option in the info box or you can open the settings dialogue which is the image I was showing.

Or you can right mouse click on the drawing in the layout itself or on the name of the drawing in the navigator and choose the "Drawing Settings" option.

As far as I know they should be updating automatically when you open the layout then.
There is an option in the Work Environment, but that only relates to background updating (version 20+).
The layout should still update when you open it regardless of this WE setting.

The only other thing I can think of is that you are linking to a drawing from another file.
In my image you will see it says the source file is "Internal".
Does yours show the same?

Thanks Barry. It is working now after I quit and open the file again.

The classic IT solution.
Re-open the file, or restart the program or better still re-start the machine.
