We have tried typing the required text in a normal text field and copy/paste into layout name, but this does not work.
A search revealed that wish linked above, hence the double post.
Cheers

Surely we're not the only (Mac using?) people in the world of Architecture that strike this problem? Can you still put a return in Windows Layout names? I vaguely remember losing this ability in later releases.
Thanks for your continued efforts, guys.

Who knows, maybe Laci can jump on his bike again and whisper a request in the boys ears?

Cheers,

Subsets suggestion sort of worked, but had it's own problems (like, what if a Section drawing was amongst the plans), but it has some merit.
Still using GDL is probably the only way to do it .. i think you can use pretty much any character in a string to act as a line break if you want stick with using just the Layout Name for your title

I've met many users over the years that have encountered this problem on both platforms. No one has come up with a workaround that is flexible and reliable. Of course they shouldn't need to come up with a workaround, because Graphisoft should take the multiple bug reports and do something about it.

Unfortunately, that's all I can do for now.

But you can't exactly control where the break is, so it is an 80% solution.

Any luck on after 13 years on this post?
Exactly what are you trying to split?
If it is one autotext value, then no you can't split it unless you stretch the text box.
If it is multiple autotext values or text and auto text, just ENTER to get a new line.
