COLUMNS AND CROSSHAIRS

Anonymous
Not applicable
Although I have done this to make sure the "show Column Symbol" is checked:

"To show or hide the crossing symbol of columns on the Floor Plan, check/uncheck the “Show Column Symbol” box in Document > Model View > Model View Options > Options for Construction Elements."

..and in the tool, column, floor plan symbol, floor plan symbol type "crosshair", is selected,

the crosshair does not show on my foundation plan.

So, don't know what else to try.

Suggestions appreciated!

Think the crosshair will only show if the collumn is being cut. So projected/overhead and such are out.

Jeanie:

The crosshairs will not appear if the Floor Plan Display is set to Outlines Only or Overhead All. Also check your Model View Options > Options for Construction Elements > Column Options: Show Column Symbol.

So Helpful.. These were for deck posts, so I'll just make them taller and will show for the railing.
Thanks for clarifying the nuances!

You can also adjust your floorplan cutplane to show the columns properly.
