Can't amend renovation status in viewset created from detail

I am not able to amend the renovation status of a viewset created from a detail. I don't understand why? See attached, yellow exclamation mark.

I have made sure I have the viewset reserved.

Hi all, only noticed this myself now. Is it a bug or am I missing something? Anyone resolve it since, besides cloning the folder? Thanks
Sorry guys, where's this setting?
"view map" - "details" - settings, the overall settings for all the sublisted details
I don't seem to find this.

Thank you!

We found the below workaround to work.

  1. Open Organiser,
  2. Select (double click) the detail in the Project Map,
  3. Change the Renovation Settings to desired filter (Planned Development / New)
  4. Select the Clone Folder in the View Map and select Details. The settings will match the view setting updated in step 3.
  5. The View Map now has the updated Renovation Filter Settings.
  6. Refer below screen shots,

Appreciate the efforts as shown above, but it doesn't resolve the issue when everything is already put on a sheet. All these linked sheets will then have to be manually relinked, which can be a nightmare if there are simply just too many!

It's laughable how this issue was discovered back in 2011, but still not resolved yet in 2023.

it simply doesn't work. After 12 years.
I have to draw by hand... after 5h working and 3h looking for a solution.

Add that Details destroy all the 3D data links and you have my reason for not using them. These days I work with (LIVE) sections, but the downside it is a pain to add aligned linked marks on the full section. Details need a major rebuild.

Palliative solution: Copy/Paste the detail in a Worksheet.

There it is possible to change the Renovation Status and it works.

I´m with @DGSketcher , the Detail tool with the Renovation filter is simply broken

I just noticed the views on this thread 13800+ !!! That should really be ringing alarm bells with GS.
