Changes to Detail Tool Settings Dialog

John Stanford
Participant

Background
I tested out AC 28 and noticed some changes in the Settings Dialog of the Detail Tool compared to AC 26, namely

  1. Under the Detail Tool Settings Dialog > Marker Symbol and Text Panel
    1. Cloud Geometry and Style Sub-panel is missing
  2. I've noticed some of the settings within the missing Sub-panel mentioned above have been moved elsewhere within the Tool Settings Dialog, but i couldn't find the following settings anywhere in the Tool Settings Dialog
    1. Cloud / Bounding Shape
    2. Cloud / Bounding Shape Fillet Radius

Issue

  1. Due to the above i can no longer draw Filleted Bounding Shape similar to what i used to in AC 26
  2. Trying to modify the Bounding Shape Nodes Using the Pet Palette Fillet Command did not solve the issue and would only return Chamfered Corners instead of Filleted Corners

Questions

  1. Could someone provide a link to any official release notes in regards to the above?
  2. Does anyone have suggestions on how to work around this issue?

I've searched the web & this forum for more info related to this issue without any luck, so any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance

The parameters of the Detail Marker will depend on the library part used. I am assuming that you have the "Built-in Detail Marker" selected in the "Marker" panel of the Dialog. Try to select another one, like "Detail Marker 01", which has the option you are looking for.

Thanks Lazlo, that was indeed what i missed.

I missed it because in AC 26 INT default template, the default is "Detail Marker 01", and i never changed it to any other Type, but in AC 28 INT and its Global Library, "Built-in Detail Marker" is the default, thus when i did my test-run using my precisely documented steps i didn't even think to check which Library Part was used by the Tool.

Related to my other question, this might just be my oversight and too small a thing to be included in the main release notes, but could you maybe point me out to a link which lists such small changes as this one?
