Creating layouts

Hi, I'm trying to create a layout for the first time. Can someone please tell me how to get rid of the info box in the right bottom corner?
And also - is PDF the best format for printing? Thank you.

Those things are called Titles.
There are Master Layouts in your Layout Book.
Master Layouts can have lines, text etc. placed on them so they will be shown on all Layouts based on the given Master Layout.
You can delete these element from the Master Layout and they will be gone on all Layouts based on that Master Layout.

I would say PDF is a good format because it creates a PDF file and you can print that on any printer you want.

Create a blank Master Layout (title panel) with the correct size, margins etc, but no lines on it. Assign that Master to your Layout.
