Detailing - Set Scale and Extent Update

Hi All,

I'm doing some detail documentation on a project and am just wondering if there is a setting controlling scale of details before I place them rather than going one by one and change them after they are placed. 

Another question is that is there a setting automatically updates the extent of the detail drawing itself when I update the extent of the call out on a section?
