I have no idea why these numbers dont add up to the total of 27'; they add up to 26'-11 1/2". I did not think archicad could mis calculate? In Project Preferences, my working units are set at "feet and fractional inches", my dimensions are set at 1/2". Please assist.

My guess is that your tolerances (1/2" rounding) are too high - have you tried 1/16" (or even a 1/32") setting? Some of your strings might be rounding up, while others rounding down due to the 1/2" tolerance... Just a guess, but that's usually where I find my strings which don't add correctly.

You should always work with the maximum available precision to avoid these errors.
With a precision of 1/2" you get:
This results in conditions were you will have strings that don't add up because part of the string rounds down but when you add another then it changes.
Example:
Macbook Pro M1 Max 64GB ram, OS X 10.XX latest

TIP: Create and store a dimension style with maximum precision.
You can apply this dimension style temporarily just to check your dimensions.
You views will be saved with the dimension style that you actually want to use, so they will not be affected in your final output.
