Dimmension problems

Hi all,

my dimensions look tiny when I view my drawing in layout.
I have set the scale to 1"=50' for both the drawing and the layout.

what should I do to make them legible?
thanks, Habi

You need to set the scale in the view not the drawing. It sounds like you have used a view that is set to a larger scale and rescaled on the layout - this is not a good practice.

Matthew thank you for your response. I am going to try and trouble shoot my dimension issues following your suggestions. I hope I get it right this time. thanks again.

I am still having a bit of problem with scale.
I have notices that the standard file settings start my drawing file with a 1/4"=1' scale. Shouldn't it be 1'=1'. I would then set a scale in the Views?

I am trying to plot my file on an 11x17 sheet with my scale set to 1"=50'
All my markers, and my dims are impossible to read. When I change size of markers and dims to be appropriately sized in the Drawing View sheet, they become huge in on the drawing space.

still not able to figure this out.
