I have the same wall & the same door on plan.
In one wall the door swing shows on plan, but in the other it shows as closed.
I have encountered the same issue in other walls and door in this particular project.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Are your display settings set to symbolic on the doors that show the swing and projected on the others? (in floor plan and section -> floor plan display)

I think I have discovered the issue:
For the doors that show swings, the wall is set to "Floor Plan Display - Home Storey Only"
For the doors that do not show swings, the wall is set to "All relevant storeys"
The "All relevant storey" walls are stair shafts and I would like to link the wall from lowest to the highest level, so that the entire shaft moves on all floors as I make design changes.
But how would I set the doors to show swings on these walls?

The wall should have nothing to do with it. Did you check what i previously suggested on the door object itself? Those doors look like they are set to projected. You can also check this if you select one of those doors and set the 3d opening angle to 90 deg on the opening type and angle settings page. It should appear open in plan.

There are no opening lines when set to Projected though.

Thanks insideru,
Yes, I tried what you suggested and it does solve the visibility.
For prosperity I have described what I found below.
I hope I understand this function correctly now.
For a wall that is visible on home storey only & symbolic cut floor plan display:
1) It seems the doors set to projected automatically takes the symbolic cut property of the wall.
1.1) changing Opening lines 3D projection deg does not have any influence.
For a wall that is visible on home storey only & projected floor plan display:
2) It seems the doors set to symbolic does NOT automatically take the projected property.
2.1) changing Opening lines 3D projection deg now does change the door swing on plan, if the doors are set to projected.
For a wall that is visible on all relevant storeys:
3) The symbolic cut option is greyed out.
3.1) So doors have to be manually set to "symbolic cut"

The Floor Plan Display or walls and doors/windows are independent.
It is what you have the default tool settings set to that determine what is placed.
You can place a 'Symbolic' door in a 'Symbolic' wall or a 'Projected" wall just the same - no matter if the wall is to 'Show on home storey only' or 'All relevant storeys'.
A wall set to show on 'All relevant storeys' can not be symbolic, but the placed door can be if that is what the door tool is set to.
No need to manually adjust after placing.
Barry.
