Hoping GS can help with this as its just so inefficient or maybe someone can offer a work around.
Archicad has added additional steps to add text to dimensions which slows the dimensioning process down considerably compared to 25 and many previous versions.
Is there an option to have all dimension text as Multi-line text by default to lessen the number of inputs required to add text to the Measured Value? Favorite Dimensions dosnt help here.
Previously one could select the text, hit CTRL-T and youd be taken directly to the custom text settings.
Now after CTRL-T one is required to hit Multi-line, then place the cursor in the field before typing.
This is alot of extra inputs over the course of a single job let alone a year.
Is there a solution to this?

I checked this and indeed, in previous versions (I don't know in which version in changed), but the cursor automatically displayed in the "Custom" field so you could immediately type a custom value.
I don't see a way to do this in the latest version using fewer clicks than what you described. So, I would say that this is a wish then, so please post in in the official Wishlist:
