Extracting a detail from an elevation - not sectcion

what's the best method for extracting/creating a "linked detail" drawing from an exterior elevation?
Normally, these "details" are created from a "section view" but in this case the architects wants to show detail tags on the elevation.

How can I link a detail drawing from a tag on the elevation?

ok, I'll try that. Is there even a way to get a "detail bubble" marker to look like what I've done in red on this image?
I know the detail markers usually want to circle/encompass a part of the section or plan for extraction but......any way to get just a circle with a line thru and a vertical leader line (linked of course)?

In the Built-in Detail Marker (and possibly others) you can change the Marker Polygon to Line, but I have never been particularly happy with the way this displays. Pain in the proverbial to get everything pointing in the right direction.

ah geez....is there any way, any way at all to NOT have that crazy "T" shape end show up?
it'll do me know good knowing how "particular" this architect is about graphics.
Suggestions?

You can stretch it and tweak it but as I said, a bit of a pain.

DOOHHHhhh...

don't tell me I'm going to have to resort to "circle + line + line with some dumb text inside"?

I mean, this is an industry standard detail bubble symbol graphics....and we can't get a simple detail bubble that is linked to a drawing with the graphics I'm showing in red? geez...

You'll get there with the Detail marker, just don't worry about the clipping polygon (greenish rectangle).

Try these settings for the Detail-Marker, there is no "bubble" with this marker.
