Font issues

A couple of colleagues of mine are having problems with fonts. Both on iMacs, both in AC18.

One is having Century Gothic font (which we have been using for years) completely disappear when publishing to PDF, but it displays fine when printing to PDF. The other has issues with Avant Garde (which is similar to Century Gothic) sometimes printing as blocks (rectangles) and sometimes not printing at all (printing and publishing). In both cases everything looks fine on screen. This has only started happening recently. Does anyone know what the cause could be and/or a possible solution?

I've tried re-installing the fonts with no joy.

we're having a similar problem here, but it appears to be confined to fonts that are Postscript fonts rather than TrueType or OpenType format.

ArchiCAD publisher embeds the latter two types, but not the Postscript versions.

Printing, as opposed to Publishing, is a workaround - the PS fonts embed that way.

These are both TrueType fonts. What puzzles me most is why this has just started happening We haven't had any major changes or updates.

Hi All,
It seems that the users problem was a Mac specific issue, related to font file storage. It seems to have been solved. Thanks, k
