How can I remove windows, etc. from the 3D view, leaving only the structure?

Use the Partial Structure Display option? Or create a MVO for it.

Set Partial Structure Display to core and
Even if I set mvo to the maximum, the window does not disappear.

That appears to be the Opening Line, which can be toggled off under the MVO Miscellaneous Settings.

These are default AC windows right?

Yes, it is a different window from window 25.

In the MVO settings, 'construction elements' only affects the plan view.

'Detail level' affect the 3D but even with 'Schematic' you will see lines representing the shape/configuration of the window.

In the actual window settings there is an option to turn the 3D off entirely.

But because it is an object setting, you can't control it with view settings, i.e. have the window show for one view but be off in another view.

Barry.

Hm. Did not realise it left a frame reference on... thought the Detail Level in the object was the same as Detail Level under MVOs... I guess you could filter (ctrl + alt + a) your windows out? This is saved with your View.

I would filter out the window from the View / Filer and cut elements in 3D menu : https://helpcenter.graphisoft.com/user-guide/77412/
