Hi team.
Is there some secret to populating a component schedule with objects from a 3D-document ?
We use the 3D-document method for preparing reflected ceiling plans, and these typically incorporate many objects that describe lighting and electrical fittings.
We are also looking at incorporating FF+E schedules, particularly for RCP's but also for plumbing fixtures and appliances, within Archicad itself rather than externally in excel.
The main issue is with the RCP in 3D-document format.
Any objects in the 3D-document aren't populating in the component schedule.
Are we missing something ?
If the objects are copied to a regular plan ( ie; to a storey level ), the schedule will populate.
But doing this defeats the purpose of using 3D-document to depict RCP's.
Anyone know of a way to pursue this ?
The schedule scheme settings are depicted below; while providing this is not exactly helpful, it indicates what we're aiming to do is not really reinventing any wheels.

Schedules will only list elements that have a home storey, which means they have to be placed in a floor plan (or at least be attached to one. 2D Elements placed in an elevation, section, detail, worksheet or 3D view will not have a home storey and therefore won't schedule.
No secret workaround that I know of. It just doesn't work.
