Interior Elevation - 2D objects vs. 3D objects

Please see attached JPG.
basically (for those of you who'd prefer 'reading' than seeing a graphic explanation).

the interior elevations produced from the model aren't up to PAR (don't cut it) when it comes to the linework graphics....so I had to redraw my 3d elevations into 2d...

It creates an editable "2D sticker" that you can copy/paste as you need, cover up what is behind it and since it is saved as a library part you only have to edit the sticker and it will update all placed instances. In Autocad terms it is a "block". In analog terms it is the equivalent of a "sticky-back" or "stamp pad" if you are familiar with the terms.

wow...now that's a slick function.
Sticker huh...I'll have to try that one perhaps on the interior elevations.
Now do you have to follow the outer contour lines of what you are creating a "sticker" of or can you simply do a 'rectangular marquee' of the "patch" you are trying to mimic?

Interesting...very interesting....
An Archicad "block" huh....i'll have to definately try it sir....thank you.

AFAIK it is square but it is the same logic as Complex Profiles with the difference that lines are shown

well....it appears I've busted the "myth" behind the "Patch" function.
Cant' seem to do it in 'interior elevation' view...only seems to be functional in "PLAN view" of the model...bummer.

Rob, you give up to easily without reading the Manual. You need to define an area using the marquee tool. I tried and it works with Interior Elevations.

DID you USE the MARQUEE TOOL to DEFINE an AREA to be SAVED as a PATCH?
