ARCHICAD 26: In my interior elevations I've created a custom wall tile pattern (because it's a random pattern) out of 2D lines & fills. But, the modeled objects, such as water closets, lavatories, soap dispensers, grab bars, paper towel dispensers, etc. don't "mask" or hide any of the 2D wall tile pattern. It is very time consuming to cut around from the fills all these individual objects. It's even more time consuming to move a fixture or accessory. HELP!

I assume that you have looked at manipulating the 'Display Order' moving things forward/back to make it work? Sometimes it can be finicky...

Thanks pbg. I did try that. I do hope it's something that simple.

You can select the wall and press Ctrl + C, then Ctrl + V. After that, you will have a filled wall cut with overlapping elements. You can then change the fill.

Thanks Vi. The point is to not have to "change the fill". Modeled objects should be able to just "mask" the 2D lines. I appreciate the response.

If you dont want to change the fill, so you can use the way that pbg mentioned step by step:
1. Change uncut surface pen to -1 of elevation setting.
2. Choose the lines & fills and send to back.
3. Choose the wall and send to back.

That's it! It's in the "Elevation Selection Settings" menu. It took me a while to find that one. Thanks!
