Hello everyone!
We are having a issue with the Keynote function when importing an IFC-model from an external bureau (structual engineer or installer for example).
We provide them with our IFC-model, they use it to make their plan and send their IFC-model back to us.
When we import their IFC-model some of the keynotes used in our drawings go into conflict with the hotlink (see image).
According to Graphisoft, Keynotes don't get exported when exporting an IFC-model, so we don't know why is conflicts with our hotlinks.
(We have had this issue with multiple projects).
We can't find a way to exclude Keynotes when importing/exporting a IFC-model.
Does anyone know a solution to this?
Would like to hear from you!
Kind regards,
Julian Fiole

Hi Barry,
Can you open/see this one?
Would like to hear your opinion on this topic!
Thanks in advance.

Much better, we can see that image now.
I am afraid I won't be of much help.
I don't use keynotes and I don't use IFC files either.
What happens if you click on the information button on the right hand side?
Does that shed any light on what the problem might be?

Ah thanks for your confirmation.
The information button on the right hand says the following:
''This keynote has a different Description than in the host file or other module.
The Description or this Keynote will not be displayed in Labels or Legends''
This is because the information/text in our Keynotes have been changed between the moment of exporting our IFC-model and importing their IFC-model.
We use Keynotes as a autotext in our detail drawings, so the information changes sometimes as the project moves on.
Therefore we would love to have a solution to our problem, because it is verry annoying.
We would love to hear from someone that is dealing with IFC and knows a lot about the export/import settings.
Julian.
