Hello
Ive been having troubles hiding some layers in my layout. Ive tried changing the layer setting but it keeps going back to customs.

Hi,
Make sure you redefine the views after you alter the layer. Ex: after you hide the undesired lyers, you right click on the view, and “redefine with curent view settings”.
After that update in layouts.

Thank you for answering!
However, I cannot see the option. It only says redefine 3d.

The option should be available in view map, after you update the view placed on the layout.
more info here, as I can’t share a screenshot right now https://helpcenter.graphisoft.com/user-guide/76313/

Are you talking about layer settings for views placed on your layouts (layers within views)? Or the layers of elements (incl views) placed on your layouts (layers of views - the layer the placed view/element is on in the layout)? I have never understood why elements placed on layouts have layers as there appears to be no way to define layer settings for layouts.

Thank you, Im going to check it out!

Honestly I don't know anything about the layers. I'm new to archicad and I saw a comment about how it could be because it is in a custom layer. However, I don't even now how my layers got combined or if they are even combine. I only know that every time I try to hide my layers in the layout (where the screen turns green) it changes to custom and it doesn't change anything. (Everything should be in a layer that I named plantas)

Drawings on your Layout are based on Views.
Each View can have it's own Layers toggled on and off. Ideally these are based on a Layer Combination and not Custom.

And just to emphasise, the entire layout book uses only one layer setup.
You can not have individual layers used on each layout page.
The drawings you place on the layouts should be from the View Map (views).
These views have their own layer settings and should be using a particular layer combination rather than a custom layer set, as has been mentioned.
And a tip to a new user, all annotation should be done in the views.
You really should not be adding anything extra to the drawings in the layouts.
Barry.
