Marked Distant Area Checkbox Unavailable

Hi, I have seen others checking a 'marked distant area' checkbox within section/elevation model appearance settings. For some reason, I do not have the marked distant area checkbox. It isn't available at all within my section/elevation model appearance settings. Does anyone know why this might be? Thanks!

It was renamed to "FADE DISTANT ELEMENTS" in AC26 IIRC.
