Notation of rotated Site Plan

My desire is to create a Site plan with the Architectural and Structural improvements within the Same PLN of the BIM.

The Property lines and site configurations are drawn based on the Models orientation. The difficulty is the Noting and labeling of the site plan if the presentation on the Layout sheet is different from the model orientation.

What method are others using to notate the Site plan within the model view but have the notations later be at the proper orientations and positions once the plan is placed on the Layout? Are you creating a separate PLN file and Xref'ing the model PLN into the Site.PLN?
Or are you somehow using trace references?

I see an "fixed angle" and "Always Readable" check box in the Text Selection Settings DBX and a "fixed angle" and a custom angle radial button that can be set to "Relative to Orientation" or Absolute Coordinate System" within the Label Selection Settings DBX. If you select the Fixed Angle option in for the Label you can also check the "Optimize Position" box, which sounds good but may prove problematic.

Tried different approaches with these options with no success.

Before I went very far with this solution I read

Orienting the view does not rotate the project as such; the project coordinates remain unchanged. It just turns the window contents so that they are displayed at a more convenient angle on your monitor. (You get the same effect if you rotate your monitor.)

So this does not seem to be the option that I want.

Does anyone have any insight? Can not see how to use any of the Text and Label options that will accomplish this.

Try this (worked for me):
1. Rotate the plan to the orientation you want for the site plan.
2. Place a label when in this orientation, and under the Text Label panel, at the Label Angle, set the small arrow pop up to "Relative to Orientation". (When you reset the Orientation, the label will be rotated.)
3. Place this View on a Layout, it will come in at the Absolute orientation, but the label will be at the previous orientation angle.
4. Rotate the drawing on the layout to the correct (orientation) angle.

If this does not work, please post some images showing your method and results.

I'm of the belief that North goes to the top of the drawing sheet... at least in North America. While this doesn't always work on some projects based on size or configuration or for residential where the contractor wants the front of the house facing the street, it's a good starting point. My next option is to have north facing left on the sheet but I never have North facing right or down on the drawing... except residential. It's old school training that's hard to break.

Since I incorporate the building and site together... I always set the building square and perpendicular for working purposes and the site follows accordingly. My North arrow incorporates a plan north and true north identification. This does not take into account magnetic north. And normally my site is identified with bearings and distances. With site nomenclature, plan and true north arrows, I've been fairly comfortable with this method for years.

But there is always an exception to the rule. And I'm not sure I answered the question but it's my optional work around.
