Paper Size Templates

I thought I saw a utility somewhere that would allow you to view "actual paper space" while working in ArchiCad.(without having to go to Plotmaker) So that you could figure if there is enough room to dimension, etc....

The template I saw allowed different paper sizes to be used, Arch-D, A3, etc..

Is there such a beast??

Josh.

Josh I don't know if there is such a thing but it would be pretty easy to make up. The size of the printable area would of course change with proposed print scale so you would have to decide ahead of time what scale and paper size you wanted and then draw a rectangle to suit.

What may be easier and more appropriate would be to take a copy of your title block out of Plotmaker Master for your proposed paper size, paste it into a blank story and stretch it by the proper scale factor. e.g. 48 times if you wanted 1/4" scale.

Then you could just ghost it when you wanted to check for fit.

Josh,
There is a very simple way to create a "actual paper space" device to
check if your drawing will fit on your sheet.
Starting at the origin, draw a rectangle the dimensions of your sheet.
Draw a rectangle inside this rectangle the dimensions the printable area
of the printer/plotter you are using. Draw a rectangle the
dimensions and position of your title block.
Put hotspots where you think you might need them.
Save as a GDL object.
Open the library part by going to file/open GDL object.
Delete everything in the 3D script. Delete everything in the 2D script
except the statements starting with "line2...... "
and statements starting "hotspot2....... "
Then at the very top of the 2D script type in the following,
MUL2 A_,A_
Then save the library part.
You now have an object that you can place in a project,
regardless the scale, that comes in at paper space size,
which you can use to check whether your drawing will fit your sheet.
