Pen 94 does not read with same intensity in section

Please refer to the attached image of a section detail. It shows a concrete floor (slab tool) on compacted gravel (slab tool) with a thickening of the concrete slab under the wall. The thickened concrete and associated gravel is a profile. All fills have a #94 cut fill foreground pen and a #91 cut fill background pen. The #94 pen, however, reads as lighter in the slabs than in the profile. What have I missed?

Also, is there a way to turn off the black lines at the end of the gravel in the profile?

And finally, the Cut Surfaces-Cut Line Pen for both slabs and the fill used for the gravel in the profile is set to pen #1. The cut lines at the bottom and ends of the profile gravel read darker than the cut lines of the slabs (the concrete fill in the profile has been sent to the back). What have I missed?

Thanks in advance!

Michael:

For the pen settings, check that the correct pens have been assigned for the Building Materials used in the Profile Manager of the thickened slab profile, and that they have not been overridden in the Beam Settings > Floor Plan and Section > Cut Surfaces > Override Cut Fill Pens.

For the black lines at the end of the gravel fill, in the Profile Manager select the edge where you don't want the line, when the Pet Palette appears select the Set parameters for profiled edge option (rightmost on top row) and uncheck Show Cut Line in the Custom Edge dialog box.

Is the grade (earth) a Mesh? Have you SEO (subtracted) the Mesh from the Profile?
