Pen Sets and plotting thicknesses of objects, walls, doors..

Does anyone have a well established lineweight pen set for the stock Archicad 14 objects?

You know what I mean, doors that are thin, windows that are thin, walls that are thicker and thickest....hatch/fill that is thin, furniture and bathroom fitxtures that are light medium in thicness.....

You know, the way architect SHOULD be graphically representing their language??? Graphically correct......

Reason being is that we have conflicting thoughts on how best in the office to assign pens and pen colors to the objects we bring straight out of the Archicad 14 box.....

If anyone can assist me in this issue I'd surely be grateful.

Could anyone post up or upload the penset they are using to plot the walls, doors, windows graphically correct so I may take a look see at them?

thanks,
RR

Rob,
IF you do a search there have been several good posts over the years that address your questions and include uploaded pens.

If anyone wishes to share their Pen Sets, the Object Depository now has an ArchiCAD Attributes section these can be uploaded to.

If you know of a good post in particular Erika....could you point me to it?
I did do a search...came up with a lot of "extraneous" information.

I'd appreciate the link which you think contains a good penset for Archicad 14.

thanks,

The AC depository section for Attributes that Laszlo created is still empty at this time.
It's just below; 17, Sports-Recreation.
The one I created for myself is of such bohemian nature, that don't think anyone would want to mess with it.
I think I violated all the rules, but it works for me in 12, and have not really had time to see if it works well in 14 anyway.

I am interested in developing a penset for myself, I would be happy to work with anyone else in collaboration to create a basic penset template that can be offered as a starting point for others and uploaded to the depository.

Again.....all's I'm looking for is a penset that will work with the "stock" AC objects. A penset that has been set by a user or firm which when inserting a GSM objects whether it be door, window, beam, ladder, furniture, whatever....has the correct "graphical" look that is customary to our profession.

You all know the look, furnitures light, electrical symbols light, walls medium and bold, doors and door swings light, windows light thicknesses....and so on...just the basics, nothing fancy, nothing majorly customized but something generic.

A penset that when I plop down an object I don't have to go in there and start to tweak each and every button and sub-button level on that object so that it reads properly.

thanks.

I created an excel spreadsheet with a "starter" pen layout. I'm showing all the pens that AC-10 default pen set relies on,
but of course you'll want to change these to get automatic changes in your look.
Some information from the Archiwiki that fits on a two dimension table is shown.
No new pen sets shown, just a planning guide for anyone creating a new set.
Attached is a png view of it. I think it should print well enough to help you plan out your pens. If you want a totally blank version, I have can easily make one.

Snap
PS I included a small graphic of the AC pen colors in the upper right.
