Placed external pdf wont publish in color

Anonymous

I placed a color .pdf on a story or worksheet and the option to have it as colored is grayed out under the "drawing selection settings."

Anyway to publish a color pdf from an external source as colored?

You mean that you select the placed PDF page, go to the Drawing Selection Settings Dialog and in the Properties panel the Color field doesn't show you this setting, the Original Colors option?
It works for just fine.
Can you try to start a brand new project and see if it is available there?

I did what you suggested in a new project and it worked (Original Colors option was available) i was also able to copy and paste it into my original project that was only giving me greyscale as an option. After that new .pdf that I import are in color so it seem to have fixed it somehow although now the greyscale option is not available.

Strange stuff.
It might be related to this specific file then.
You might want to report this problem to your local tech support contact.

By the way, are you on AC 17 build 8000?
It is good to always be on the latest build as lots of bugs are fixed in hotfixes.
