Problems rendering the roof in the Elevation

The roof I modeled seems fine in plans and 3D, but shows a weird glitch when viewed in elevations. Creating a new elevation does not help, rebuilding/refreshing does not help, it looks the same in the elevation view and on the layouts. What could be the cause?

Have you modelled this very far from the project origin (0,0,0)?

No, the model is quite centered. Also the problem only appears on some of the roofs, while others, just a few meters away, are unaffected.
