I have multiple users in two different AC28 projects - one solo, one teamwork, both in 28.2.2-5200 - who have experienced the same bug. They have reported that within the Selection Settings of multiple Sections and multiple Elevations, the Grid Tool settings aren't sticking to "All" for "Show Grid Elements by Stories/Name". They are (on their own) changing to "Selected", with a good amount of grids being unchecked, meaning our documentation changes for the worse without anyone knowing. This is not related to non-perpendicular grids or pens, as was suggested in this older but related post:Disappearing grid elements from sections in AC20
I couldn't recreate the issue in a blank file by copying grids, renaming them, making two grids named the same thing, etc. Any help is appreciated.

I can verify this happens. Our template and all our files are set by default to show all grids. Most people I have this issue with are not even aware that those settings are in the markers, so it is extremely unlikely anyone is accidentally changing them to "selected".
Definitely not a user error issue, and definitely a bug that needs to be fixed! I would suggest putting the markers on a locked layer for all layer combinations, but I'm not certain that would have any impact.

I have something similar: the last week I hand picked the grids I want to show on about 6 different elevations (Show Grid Elements By Name: Selected) . There are a few others that I could leave as All. Today what I see is that all the elevations that were set to show only a selection are all set to the same selection, when last week they were all different selections! This results in some elevations not showing any grids at all, because that one selection that is used for all elevations has grids parallel to the elevation cut line.
For now I am selecting All, as that is the safest error and for now I have hand selected two elevations and see if it goes bad again.
PS. Technical details: Teamwork, all users build 28.3.3 (6300), some USA, some INT.
