Section and elevation markers on all stories?

I'm doing work on a r storey building and have just discovers that Section and elevation markers specifically created for item on a upper floor also show no a lower floor. I've limited the display of vies created by these markers to the story I am working on. I thought these markers also used a 'Home' approached as a default. Am I mistaken and is there a button somewhere that limits display of these markers to the 'Home' storey?
