Set pen by line category?

I haven't figured out a way to do this, and it may not be an option, but I figured I'd ask:

Is there any way to set all lines categorized as "cut lines" to be the same, heavy line weight in layout (as shown when the "bold cut lines" on-screen view option is checked, but not just as a view option)?

This seems like it would be a handy feature for sections, because it can be difficult to get the #1 pen (which my office uses for heavy cut lines) to stop where a wall and roof merge, or at a window sill, which wants to draw a dark #1 line around the entire element. If there were a way to simply add a heavier pen around the cut outline (as shown when the "bold cut lines" on-screen view option is on), it would seem to make a much cleaner section drawing.

In the section settings you have an override for all cut elements, but if I understand correctly this is not what you want.

What you want is to be able to print using the "Bold Cut Line" instead of it being a View only option. If this is the case it is a wish I also have.

Yes, yes yes! There are elements of the screen view that are better than the layouts.

AC does a really good job with 3D/BIM, but is a laggard in creating 2D output that equals their success in the 3D areas. Numerous obsolete 2D CAD programs had marvelous text, dimensions, graphic detection of outlines, beautiful markers, etc. I often find myself manually overdrawing building outlines or adding dots to dimension markers to differentiate a center-line in an otherwise face of material string, etc, etc.

It must be the nature of OOL programming that these things are non trivial. I would die for an AC version with stellar 2d output. Personally I would forgo three years of new features for 2D output that approached a 1980's vintage hand drawn set. I am a dreamer, stuck in a programmers world...

Has this been figured out for anyone? I'd love my sections to have clean air lines. Right now I've got big ugly lines wrapping all my framing. Boo!
